A band from San Francisco, active from 2001 to 2005. Members included: Jessie Evans (vocals, bass, sax), Brian Hock (drums), Billy (keyboards, bass 2002-2003), Sadie Shaw (keyboards 2001-02).

THE VANISHING was a trio from San Francisco who mixed electro-dancehall beats with live disco/marching rhythms, synths, effected sax, and a mesmerizing voice. Jessie Evans (former saxophonist/bassist/vocalist of the infamous all girl deathrock group SUBTONIX, and member of the electronic sax duo AUTONERVOUS) and Brian Hock (ZONETECH) formed VANISHING in 2001 with Sadie Shaw (currently of THE HUSBANDS).
