Return : A great song. Melancholic atmosphere, based on synths and light beats, in absolute harmony with Veljanovʼs angelic voice. Pretty esoteric lyrics expressing someoneʼs distress, if there will be somebody there in his time of need. Again Lakaienʼs lyrics seem to show one of the real fears of todayʼs people, of being alone

Kiss the Future : A song based musically on electro sounds, beat, synths and there is a solo, played by guitar at first and later by the violin, based on oriental scales. Is humanity ready to kiss the future?? Are the lessons of the old world learned?? Or we are about to rewrite the old book. History will show

My Shadows : A song in which Horn shows his piano abilities and ideas. Also there are some synths and light drum sounds accompanying the synths. Veljanov sings with his heavenly voice in a unique way and while heʼs being accompanied by Hornʼs wonderful piano ideas the result sounds really great.

Into my Arms : Another great and emotionally charged song . Synths and guitar solos at the background form the perfect atmosphere for such a great song. Poetic lyrics greatly interpreted by Veljanov. This song simply ties down the listener and makes him fly through the soundscapes that only a band named Deine Lakaien can create!

Overpaid : Slow beginning with synths and Veljanovʼs singing and then the song continuesin a faster way with synths and drum. Another good song that shows Lakaienʼs inspiration.

Venus Man : : In this song beat and synths are used harmonically with Hornʼs piano ideas and at the end you can hear for a while a guitar idea. Girls, away from the Venus Men, if you canʼt hold them, drop them now, they might not be what they seem.

The Game : Listening to such a unique song Iʼm sorry, this isnʼt just a song, it is something more than a simple song. This piece of art comes straight from the heart of the artist and speaks directly to the heart of the listener. Hornʼs perfect piano pieces accompany Veljanovʼs heavenly and utterly melodic and expressive voice. What to say now for such terrific lyrics! Kasmodiah : This is a song bearing the title of the album. A romantic song based musically on medieval instruments. Sweet violin and piano ideas follow Veljanov in his vocal trip. Poetic lyrics that make another Lakaien song exceptional.

Lass Mich : In this song Lakaien flirt totally with beat and electro sounds and in some moments they sound pretty violent for their standards. We can hear Veljanov singing in another way, more aggressive I could say, and when he whispers lass mich dein lakai sein he sounds a little bit scary. The lyrics are in German.

Sometimes : Another song based musically on medieval instruments. The lyrics are written by Horn, and they are as always exceptional. He makes the questions, he answers the questions. There are questions that we may find their answers when we pass away and questions that we can answer as living beings. Veljanov again charms us with his vocal abilities and we all know is that sometimes we loved someone, sometimes someone loved us.

Fight : An aggressive beginning and then the violin and synths follow. Refrainʼs music is based on beat and electronic sounds. This song is one of my favorite moments in this album ʽcause of its lyrics and of course of the beautiful music. Veljanov sings Hornʼs lyrics, lyrics with social content that describe the situation of todayʼs society, a society that stinks, a society of injustice. Lyrics such as So you feel safe and warm inside, you take your chance from time to time, But other people wonʼt get asked, they just get kicked while others laugh, weʼre sharing sympathy for lords and look aside while dead birds drop and a pope is praying describe the bitter truth that lies among us. Look around, do these lyrics describe the situation?
