This album is the third album of the Japanese Gothrock band Malice Mizer, and their second album with vocalist Gackt. This album is, in fact the most versatile album Iʼve ever heard, with songs for all tastes. To be able to fully understand the beauty of this record you will have to listen to each track carefully.
Anyway, Iʼll make a short description of every track.

~de merveilles
The intro to the album Itʼs intriguing to see how this band is able to create a dark atmosphere by combining simple, everyday sounds (door opening, footsteps, dog barking, telephone ringing, door closing, etc.)

Syunikiss ~nidome no aitou~
Ok, this song (the only one bassist Yu-ki ever wrote) is one of the very best Malice Mizer songs. It starts with violins and whispers - quite gothic atmosphere to tell you the truth After a minute or two of ballad-like music from heaven the music drops abruptly, only to give another intro with birds tweeting, and then it explodes in energetic guitar playing by Mana and Közi continuing the song. Already my favorite of this album

Bel air ~kuuhaku no toki no nakade~
This song is also very beautiful. It starts with a music box-like melody that explodes in up-tempo guitars, drums, bass, and vocals. Later it drops again to the music box melody, which, again, explodes in up-tempo music. Nice song, very nice.

ILLUMINATI
This one is a really great song. It is an up-tempo dance song, with the most energetic vocals in the album. Youʼll have to listen to this song to understand it

Brise
This song is quite unusual for the band, being the first to introduce acoustic guitars in Malice Mizerʼs music. Also very energetic and noisy Not my personal favourite, but there are people out there whoʼll love this song, rest assured

E-GE ~sugishare kaze totomo ni~
Donʼt ask me what E-GE is, Iʼve no idea The song however is very catchy. Nice vocals, nice lyrics One of my favourites again

au revoir
This song is just overwhelmingly cute Thereʼs no other way to describe it. The lyrics are totally cute and the melodies as well, and the chorus just sticks in your mind after the first time you listen to it Warning to all diehard necrophiliacs and headbangers do not listen to this song *teddybear hugs*

Ju te veux
Immensely up-tempo (again) dancey synth song Another melody that sticks in your mind after one or two times hearing it. This particular song made me rethink my oppinion about synth and techno music.

S-CONCIOUS
A rather silly song The problem with this song is that itʼs wholly in English and, well, Gacktʼs English is not really good And the lyrics make no real sense But itʼs still fun to listen to.

Le Ciel
This song is the closest to pop music of the entire album It is nice though, what am I saying? Itʼs GREAT. It just sounds a little more like, well, J-Pop than J-Rock But donʼt let that hold you from listen to this particular song because itʼs really nice.

Gekka no yasoukuaku
The Circus got loose Very fast and circus-like song, with many accordeon, harpsichord and violin melodies Not bad, not bad at all

Bois de merveilles
This one is definitively a song. A short song, but a song nevertheless. This particular track has the most influences of classical music of all the songs in this album. Sounds quite operatic.

The artists:
Mana (guitars, synth): Mana is, in my opinion a qenius. The music he (yes HE, itʼs a guy) writes is just, heaven In this album he gave just everything he had.
Közi (guitars): The composer of Ju te veux and S-CONCIOUS is quite a weird one to tell you the truth. His music is almost always hit and miss. He is however a very skilled musician.
Gackt (vocals): Gackt has an incredibly well trained voice. While he sounds quite operatic, he can switch his voice to a more rock or pop-like sound, even Eldritch-y.
Yu-ki (bass): The silent artiste. He plays his bass with great skill, and the one song he wrote (Syunikiss) is just a masterpiece
Kami (drums): Kami was one of the best drummers Japan had to offer. His skill could only be matched by the best of the best A real pity he died one year after this album
All in all, this album is a marvel (merveille). Full of energy, melodies, and well Donʼt miss it for any reason.
Not suitable for single (simple?)-minded headbangers
