Katatonia returns with their new album, "The Great Cold Distance". Limited Edition comes with a bonus videoclip of "My Twin. Listening to the tracks we can see that at last Katatonia return with an album worth to carry their name on the label. The tracks that stand out (in the reviewers humble opinion) are "Leaders", "Rusted", "Deliberation" και "Follower". But it looks that something is missing. After some listening sessions i felt like the album in a whole (taking in account the emmotions generated from the music and the lyrics) lacks "pain", "misery" and ,"depression". It has a "sad" feeling that kinda looks like its was filtered. To sum up the album might leave a bittersweet taste at hardcore fans but will satisfy the "mass". And a small review for the video clip. I was disappointed since I feel like it doesn't represent the emotion of the song. And it is a bit "mainstream". But anyway, the album is at least a good try after the disappointing "Viva Emptiness" and it deserves a 3.5
