Alien Skull Paint combines two elements in their music that never fail to grab my attention: Minimal electronics, and a definite punk aesthetic. Oh and a third element: a cool name to boot!

One could say that Alien Skull Paint is a much darker version of Adult., or viewed from another angle, an electronic version of (insert fave postpunk/deathrock outfit here). The end result is amazing, and i'm glad to report that i'm totally hooked.

The album starts off with great mellow minimal sounds, jumps up a notch later on with "Desire at the bad one", which is probably a personal favorite of mine off of this release. Later tracks pick an even faster pace and even include some minimal guitar work to the point where you are no longer in minimal electro land. Almost all tracks are excellent, and i have the feeling that they would still stand on their own even if approached differently or were subjected to a different production. But i'm glad i'm getting this version in any case.

"... Travel To Eternity", is not Alien Skull Paint's first release. There have been two more full length releases on Genetic Music.
