Writing about a new :Wumpscut: release, can be an exercise in futility and redundancy. Do you prefer the earlier harsher and more primitive stuff? Would you like fries with that?

Like most recent stuff from :Wumpscut:, Schädling has plenty of calm and atmospheric moments, but still manages to produce a couple of pounding tunes that may get you moving on a dance floor. Or maybe not. The booze helps. The anthemic Schäbiger Lump or Rifki would perhaps work well. Or the opening track, Rusty Nails From Hell. And Oh How It Feels is also a great track for me. I could mention a couple more...There's a fair share of good tracks. Overall there are no surprises whatsoever to be found in Schädling. But that doesn't mean it's half bad.

In the end you just have to sit back, enjoy, and admit that Rudy really doesn't have much left to prove. He is a talented musician in what he does, and the almost trademarked :Wumpscut: sound (in either the new or old form), easily stands head and shoulders above your average release -without breaking a sweat- and Schädling in particular is no exception.
